It’s a trick of the mind, two faces bathing in the screen light ๐ŸŒŸ

I talk a lot about shadow work and why it’s important to know all the darkest parts of you, both conscious and unconscious, but one of the biggest reasons is so you know what’s internal and what’s external. If you’re not completely sure of who you are, it’s easy to lean into projections. You begin to paint others with your own insecurities, viewing them as manifestations of everything wrong with your world. By no means does this suggest that there aren’t some really slimy souls out there, but the next time you start to hate-stalk someone’s feed try to ask yourself what fear you’re chasing. What deep-seated shame or guilt or jealousy has been triggered? And more importantly–how can you make sure it never bothers you again?

I’m no stranger to that particular darkness. If I’m being completely honest (and I have to be thanks to my wildly inconvenient Sagittarius stellium ๐Ÿนโœจ) I’ve only managed to face my own issues with jealousy and resentment in the last few years. It takes a lot of self-love and compassion to look in the mirror and do this work. But until you do, you leave yourself completely vulnerable to projection and manipulation both within and without.

If you’re looking for a good time to dive in, Neptune stations direct this weekend and the Full Moon in Gemini illuminates where our opinions may be out of alignment with our truth. As the light continues to wane, take the opportunity to go inside and see what anchors you in fear.
